The SFP+ 10G BIDI 60km module is a perfect alternative to Extreme Networks 10GBASE-ER optics. It has been programmed in the factory and works fine with a wide range of Extreme Networks equipment such as 10G switches, routers, network interface cards (NICs) and Ethernet media converters. It is a hot-pluggable Small-Form-Factor Bi-Directional transceiver designed for 10G BiDi duplex optical data communications application. The module features a highly reliable 1270nm DFB transmitter and 1330nm APD receiver into LC Simplex optical connector, that provides 60 km link distance over single-strand single mode fiber.
